Philosophical "Anyways"
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love Them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend many years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have got.

A: " When I left you, I never really walked away.
I merely just paused the movie,
the male actor never changed,
the storyline still remains,
and all I am wondering if
I press play,
would things be the same? "
B: " *with a little thought* Yes. "
A: " Somehow I was never afraid of you leaving,
because I knew some part of you
would always stay and remain unchanged,
perhaps the sunglasses or the movies,
and I was very sure that
some feelings would never be erased
so easily especially when they are true. "
B: " Asshole. "
Now that was priceless.

Getting Closer.

It was the oldest and newest reunions,
one with the best friends
and one with the army friends.
Its funny how much things have changed
over the years
and of course somethings just stay the same
right from the very first day.
The best friend has always been
nothing but a great support
and a wonderful listening ear.
He never holds back
when he reprimands me
as well as being there for me.
But I feel rather useless
for not being able to comfort him much.
Well I guess thats his decision.
Well for whats its worth,
2010 is going to be a very busy year,
especially after June.
And I am really looking forward
to the next Christmas already,
not that I have plans
but at least it keeps me going!

Welcome To The New Year.
It was a wonderful crossover
from the old to the new year
as the girlfriend and I did a countdown together.
Perhaps in the most intimate
and comforting way,
we indulged and enjoyed ourselves
in the privacy of the home
and I am very certain
there is no better way to spend this rather
lovely evening.
And of course the first concern
in the morning is always about
food.
Thus with the inspiration of
what we did on the first day of 2008,
we headed down to the airport
for some good old fashion
of Singapore food!

To put things across frankly,
I still feel that there are plenty
of things to work on
for this relationship
but knowing that it has moved up
to the next level
brings me a lot of serenity
and tranquility
and I am really happy
to know that perhaps
true love does exist.
But its hell lot of work.

Last Chance.

It was the part of the cohesion
at my uncle's shop,
there was wine and food,
as always I was in charge of the wine
and they always seem to love
my taste.
Afterall I prefer dessert wine
over red or white anytime.
....................................
We never had the chance to dine
on the beach,
we never had the chance to
truly just pass the time on the beach
without looking at our watches,
we never had the luxury
of just sharing a conversation freely
with the sound of the waves
crashing against the shore
in the background.
But finally for the last day of 2009,
we had a tiny part of the beach
all to ourselves.

To be able to say that I am happy
is still an understatement
because the joy and happiness you bring me
is truly like no other,
and if tonight is any indication
of what life can be like with you,
I pray that our love can last
for eternity.

That Mystery.

Well this show was actually really good,
perhaps boring for those who seek plenty of action,
but for its suspense and a hint of thriller,
it was really good to see a detective
doing his splendid work of deduction
and working his way through a case,
it somehow marvels me.
And for a refreshing change
from my usual picks of chick flicks,
this is pretty good and
actually better than
the latest installment of Harry Potter
on terms that they are of rather the same theme.
.....................................
Have you ever felt that you could just share everything
with her?
Have you ever felt that somehow
you always know that
at the end of the day
you can turn to her no matter what?
Have you ever just woke up
knowing that
she will definitely brighten up your day?
Have you ever felt that
she would just complement everything
in your life
without you having to adjust anything?
Have you ever felt that
she is that someone
you really want to marry
and spend the rest of your life with?
Somehow I lost it,
it just went away.
And maybe this time
I just really want to do it right.
But its draining.
It really is.
And its already the final day of the year,
truly how time flies.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Its once again that special time of the year.
Somehow being in the army
and having little money
gives me alot of restrictions
on how to spend my christmas.
But still nevertheless
like how the girlfriend puts it best,
Christmas is a time to spend it
with the loved ones.
And perhaps for one of the rare occasions,
I listened to her
and felt happy about it.
This year there was no exceptions,
I went to the 2 parties
and had my fill of drinks
on Christmas Eve.
And finally on Christmas,
once more a reunion of 3 friends,
and perhaps this time did the trick
as they finally warmed up to each other,
alot more.
Thinking and looking back
at the past year,
things were so much more different.
I was packed with dance performances,
I had to complete my project,
I had lighting projects to complete.
But it was all really fun.
Life back then was truly colourful
and interesting.
Well times have changed
and one must learn to adapt.
But for now,
its time to celebrate the season of giving!
And perhaps receiving.
Heh.

What To Do With What's Left Of 2009.
Well there are many things we can still do,
and apparently as Christmas draws nearer
love is all around us.
Especially I can see that people in Facebook
are all getting into a relationship.
But still its great to have a companion
during the Christmas and the New Year!
Most importantly,
its time of the year to
clear the wardrobe,
enjoy nature,
get some exercise,
and for now prepare for Christmas!

BEST LAWYER/INSURANCE STORY OF THE YEAR,
AND POSSIBLY THE CENTURY.
This took place in
Charlotte North Carolina ...
A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars,
then insured them against,
among other things, fire.
Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars,
the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost
'in a series of small fires.'
The insurance company refused to pay,
citing the obvious reason,
that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.
The lawyer sued and WON!
(Stay with it.)
Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company
that the claim was frivolous.
The judge stated nevertheless,
that the lawyer held a policy from the company,
in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and
also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire,
without defining what is considered to be unacceptable 'fire'
and was obligated to pay the claim.
Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process,
the insurance company accepted the ruling and
paid $15,000 to the lawyer
for his loss of the cigars that perished in the 'fires'.
NOW FOR THE BEST PART...
After the lawyer cashed
the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts
of ARSON!!!
With his own insurance
claim and testimony from the previous case being used against
him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his
insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a
$24,000 fine.
This true story won First Place in last year's
Criminal Lawyers Award Contest.
..................................
Sometimes in the midst of all madness,
you always turn to that someone,
look for a motivation
and fight for something worthwhile,
and baby thats when I decided that
I needed you to stay by my side,
and at least I know that
my life is going to be a blissful one from now on!

Wonderful Weekend.
Its always great to have the weekend
but still I will always complain
time will never be enough.
But still I love the weekends!
Fridays now probably becomes
stay-home-friday-and-cook.

Then it was off to Hani Brown's Charity Sale,
and she really did a great job of her place,
and the girlfriend managed to
find a dress of her liking!

Finally dinner with Alice and XB
at New York New York.
It was a great catch up!

1o Commandments of Marriage!
1st Commandment
Marriages are made in heaven.
But so again, are thunder and lightning.
2nd Commandment
If you want your spouse to listen and
pay strict attention to every word you say,
talk in your sleep.
3rd Commandment
Marriage is grand --
and divorce is at least 100 grand!
4th Commandment
Married life is very frustrating.
In the first year of marriage,
the man speaks and the woman listens.
In the second year, the woman speaks
and the man listens.
In the third year, they both speak and
the neighbors listen.
5th Commandment
When a man opens the door of his car
for his wife, you can be sure of one thing:
Either the car is new or the wife is.
6th Commandment
Marriage is when a man and woman
become as one; the trouble starts when
they try to decide which one.
7th Commandment
Before marriage, a man will lie awake
all night thinking about something you
said. After marriage, he will fall asleep
before you finish.
8th Commandment
Every man wants a wife who is beautiful,
understanding, economical, and a good
cook. But the law allows only one wife.
9th Commandment
Every woman wants a man who is handsome, understanding, economical and a considerate lover, but again, the law allows only one husband.
10th Commandment
Man is incomplete until he marries.
After that, he is finished.

It Shows That You Are Thinking...
A young female teacher was giving her class of 6-year-olds a quiz.
"Behind my back, I have something red, round and you can eat it," she said: "What is it?"
"An apple," replied little Raymond.
"No," said the teacher: "It's a tomato but it shows that you’re thinking. I now have something round, a greenish color and you can eat it."
"An apple," replied little Ian.
"No, it's an onion, but it shows that you’re thinking," the teacher said.
Little scruffy Johnny at the back of the class finally piped up and said: "I have something under my desk that's an inch long, white and it has a red end."
"You dirty little boy!" exclaimed the teacher.
"No, it's a match, but it shows that you were thinking," he answered

The Easy Life.
Its been 2 weeks since I got posted to my unit,
and things have been rather easy
but perhaps at the same time,
slow.
We will start our duty soon,
but we are already short handed.
No matter what,
this is going to be a fulfilling 2 years!
And of course nothing can be done
with the support of loved ones!
A little update:
I just bought a HTC Snap,
a phone recommended by a friend
and it does wonders!
Plus now iPhone is out on Starhub,
phone plan clashes are bound to happen!

Well the next best thing is that
Christmas is coming really soon!
And this is our 4th year spending it together.
It gets boring after a while actually.
Though we are abit short on cash,
we still try to celebrate in our own ways.
I am sure some couples would prefer to
spend it overseas under the sun
since they stay in the colder countries.

But we still dream of spending a
white christmas together
and someday we will make it happen!
And finally American Pie's latest
and probably best sequel after the 3rd one
The Wedding.

The plot is rather simple:
3 great guy friends who plan to get laid
and they have their own sub storyline
which is rather interesting.
But one thing worth it:
Tonnes of boobs flash!
" This is the first film of the straight to DVD AMERICAN PIE films to be written by a person who wrote any of the original trilogy. This time around it’s David H. Steinberg who wrote the story for AMERICAN PIE 2, which while not as good as the first, was definitely better than AMERICAN WEDDING, and leagues above the rest. His touch brings the spirit of the film back to where the first two films were.
But when it comes to AMERICAN PIE there’s always been one thing that the films are about and a reason many young men set out to see them and that’s the sex, the nudity and the gross out humor and it’s all here. Many of the women are INSANELY beautiful, and sure high school students with breast implants are a rarity in the real world, but this is the world of AMERICAN PIE! It’s about as far from real as STAR WARS. School trips with strip poker and no teachers don’t happen in real life, but you can dream right? "

Bang Bang.
Its been almost a week
since I enlisted into my new unit
and life indeed is getting very good!
There is alot of sleep
and play
and freedom.
Well at least until Orientation Drill,
yet again its going to be something
I will have to get used to
for another 1 and a half years.
But still I am really happy
to be in this unit.
This man owns a house that most would die for
but he has not left his home in the last few days and
has been in the news in the last few days
for his much publicized indiscretions.

And the house you just viewed
belongs to none other than Tiger Woods.
Frankly he has nothing much to worry about
if he is willing to learn from his mistakes
and judging by his statement,
I believe he is repenting
and there is nothing better than
to realise your mistakes
and take this chance to do it good.
Well I believe that everyone deserves
a second chance!
Nobody is perfect
and we do have slip ups
but whats most important is
how we follow up on it.
And the funniest thing of the day:
A dogged stepped on a shotgun
and accidently fired 2 men,
one of who was his owner.
